Each year, the Middle Georgia Regional Commission holds an annual meeting to promote and disclose the business operations of the past year to its governing council, the business community, and the public at-large. The event is catered and typically averages 250 in attendance. Due to the State of Georgia’s Public Health State of Emergency Declaration, the leadership of the Middle Georgia Regional Commission Council made the difficult decision to forgo the large-scale in-person Annual Meeting which would have been held October 8. The Regional Commission Council held the Annual Meeting virtually to acknowledge the 55th year of the Commission, highlight 2020 accomplishments, and conduct business.

The MGRC does not use appropriated funds to host its Annual Meeting.
